Coast-to-Coast & Doing the Most: 10 Travel Problems My Aviator Tote Solved

Written by Liz Kim -

An NYC to LA flight can be a doozy. It’s a marathon that starts at 5 AM, and usually, by the time I hit the security line, my shoulders are aching and I’m already stressed. My most recent trip was different. I flew with my Medium Aviator Tote for the first time and here are 10 reasons why I can’t imagine traveling without it.

Before the Aviator Tote 🙁

After the Aviator Tote 🙂

Problem 1: Give Me Space
I always needed two separate bags because my old bags were never big enough to hold all my flight essentials plus my purse items.

Solution 1: All-in-One Capacity
This tote is deceptively spacious. It fit my sweater, toiletries, book, shoes, water bottle, baseball cap, travel pillow, plus more!

Problem 2: Can You Juggle?
I was constantly dropping my phone because my hands were full trying to balance my carry-on and my tote.

Solution 2: Hands-Free for Me
I simply slid the sleeve over my roller suitcase handle. Instant hands-free travel from curb to gate. This is non-negotiable for me now!

Problem 3:
High Tech, High Stress
I used to panic trying to get my laptop out at security, scratching it against everything else.

Solution 3:
Padded, Accessible Laptop Sleeve I love that the sleeve is protected but separate. I didn’t have my laptop with me this time, but the sleeve kept some art prints I bought safe and sound.

Problem 4: The "Where is My Key?" Panic
The flight home is already sad enough. Now you’re fumbling around, trying to find your apartment keys at 2 AM.

Solution 4: Keys at the Ready
I clipped my keys in at the beginning of my trip and didn’t have to think about them at all. Once I got home, there they were, right in the top pocket.

Problem 5: The Bottomless Black Hole
My old totes swallowed small items, making me feel disorganized and frustrated.

Solution 5: Looking On the Bright Side
The interior of the bag is beige, making everything really easy to spot—even in a dim airplane.

Problem 6: Water Bottle Chaos My water bottle used to roll around my old totes, inevitably opening up and soaking my belongings.

Solution 6: Stay Hydrated
Not only did the inner water bottle pocket fit my Owala, it kept it secured and upright the entire flight.

Problem 7: Sore Shoulders Post-Landing
Carrying a heavy tote means immediate shoulder fatigue once I'm sightseeing or running errands.

Solution 7: Removable Crossbody Strap.
I clipped the adjustable strap and wore the bag cross-body. It instantly lightened the load and transitioned perfectly into a functional day bag.

Problem 8: My Bag is…Meh
My old travel bags felt clunky, flimsy, and uninspired.

Solution 8: She’s Cute
The tote holds its shape even when it's not totally full and it has this satiny finish that feels and looks expensive.

Problem 9: Rainy Day Worries
I was always nervous about getting caught in a sudden downpour or spilling my coffee.

Solution 9: No Muss, No Fuss
The fabric is easy to wipe clean and it’s water-resistant.

Problem 10: Wasting Legroom My old bulky backpacks took up too much precious under-seat space, cramping my feet.

Solution 10: Perfect Dimensions
The size is optimized to fit under the seat, leaving me enough space to stretch out. It was also soft enough that I could rest my feet on top of my bag.

I used to think the travel stress was just part of the deal, but the Aviator Tote felt like a sanity saver. It managed all the tiny details so I could actually focus on the fun part of the trip. If you’re tired of your bag fighting you every step of the way, this is the upgrade you need. Here’s to more miles and more adventures!
